Lake California’s Under Valued Airport Amenities VI Cottonwood Homes For Sale

Lake California a planned unit development in Northern California. The community is conveniently located between Red Bluff and Redding. We would like to showcase 1 of the very unique undervalued amenities of our community, the Lake California Airport.

Lake California’s Airpark provides a rare opportunity for pilots to own a home with direct airport access. Community CC&R’s provide for homeowners to construct hangers adjacent to their homes. There are a limited number of vacant lots and homes still available for sale in the airpark.
Lake California Airport
The private airport is identified as 68CA and is available for the use of community property owners and their guests. The paved runway is 3000′ in length and is equipped with a lighting system. Presently there are 4 tie downs available for monthly or daily rental on a 1st come 1st served basis.

Airpark residents sponsor the Lake California Aero Club and enjoy weekly fly outs and host an annual fly-in open-house in the spring.

Should the need arise the airport provides ready access for Mercy Air and Reach medical transportation services. These memberships are available separately.

For pilots or flying enthusiasts Lake California airpark truly is a wonderful amenity.

Cottonwood Horse Property – Part 3, Homes For Sale

October 17, 2009 by Steven Chain · Leave a Comment

This is #3 in a series of feature articles about a real cowboy his horse and Cottonwood Horse Property Homes For Sale.
Chet
This is Chet, in his Sunday best, seated on “Shorty”. I can tell you being dressed like this generally happened for two occasions, a Saturday dance or Church. There was a family rule. If you went to the first one you were going to the second one. The hat is today what we might call a,”Tom Mix” hat. Chet said they wore Stetson hats. From time to time he would explain with some detail the quality and he and his brother Rex’s personal preference. You’ll notice the pants. They “could” fit over the boots, but why hide a perfectly good pair of boots. Chet wore cowboy boots until the last few years of his life, although he did start turning the pants over the boots. That’s just a sign that cowboys can change too. Cottonwood Horse Property Homes For Sale.

The cowboy in the picture is Chet. Chet was my grandfather. I am truly grateful for the influence Chet had on my life. I’ll never forget his cowboy ways. Cottonwood Horse Property Homes For Sale Shasta Horse Property

Cottonwood Horse Property – Part 2, Homes For Sale

This is #2 in a series of feature articles about a real cowboy his horse and Cottonwood Horse Property Homes For Sale.

The horse in the picture is Shorty. As you can see being about 15 hands he wasn’t short. All my life my Grandfather told me stories. He seemed to have an inexhaustible supply. When he was about 87 years old he told me a story I had never heard him tell before. We were visiting and the subject of his horse Shorty came up. Grandpa said that Shorty was the kind of horse that would just stand his ground until a better horse showed up. I didn’t know quite what to say so I was silent. If you know anything about a good storyteller you know, #1 they are patient, #2 they understand the value of timing and #3 they can work with an audience that is SLOWWW. Looking back Grandpa seemed quite relaxed at the time. It was as though he was used to this sort of thing. He paused and waited until it was quite clear that I wasn’t going to get IT. Then he quite deliberately repeated the setup line,”Shorty was the kind of horse that would stand his ground until a better horse showed up.” By now I knew he was patiently working with a slow audience (me) and I gathered my response,” Did a better horse ever show up?” Grandpa paused just the proper amount of time to insure a reasonable amount of attention ,on my part, and he replied,”Never did.” You see a Real Cowboy would never outright BRAG on his horse, but he will tell you a story. Cottonwood Horse Property Homes For Sale.

As storytelling goes this would be what they call a,”Story in A Story”.

The cowboy in the picture is Chet. Chet was my grandfather. I am truly grateful for the influence Chet had on my life. I’ll never forget his cowboy ways. Cottonwood Horse Property Homes For Sale Shasta Horse Property

Successful Selling in A Buyer’s Market of Cottonwood Homes For Sale Part 5 of 8

October 2, 2009 by Steven Chain · Leave a Comment

This is the 5th in an 8 part series, on Successful Selling in a Buyer’s Market, Cottonwood homes for sale

PRICING IT RIGHT: That means pricing relevant to this market, in real time, with an eye to developing trends that may effect sales during the marketing period. There is always a price range for a given home in a given location at a given time. Therefore pricing strategically within that range subject to inventory, etc. is helpful. That also means pricing to capture the attention of the target market for your property. Just like when you first drive through a neighborhood you notice far more than after you’ve been there awhile. So it is with pricing. The over priced home goes unnoticed. It’s best to capture the attention of your buyer when they first become aware of your home on the market. Now that we’ve priced your home right let’s prepare to market. Cottonwood homes for sale

United State Department Of Agriculture USDA home loans guarantees up to 102% – Chico Homes For Sale

Buyer’s in the market for a new home, with limited funds available for downpayment, would be well advised to consider the USDA Rural Home Loan program. Zero downpayment is possible with this loan program. These loans are designed for low to moderate income families. For example in the California North State the income range for a family of 4 is $46,650 to $73,600. FICO scores of 620 are generally required. USDA Rural Home Loan guaranteed loans have fixed interest rates with a 30 year term. The loans are designed for new construction, rehabilitation or existing homes. The loans are provided based on eligibility areas. These areas generally have populations between 10,000-25,000 or open country. Therefore the California North State provides numerous areas of eligibility. Search for your Chico Homes For Sale now, or contact us and let us do the work for you.

This is not a commitment to lend. This information is provided as a service by your Realtor. A commitment to lend would be determined by completed application, AOC,buyer/ property eligibility and program status.

grandpa-chester-and-shorty This is 1 in a series of feature articles about a real cowboy his horse and Cottonwood Horse Property Homes For Sale.

People might want to know what a real cowboy looks like. I would like to share a bit about the cowboy in the photograph. The cowboy’s name is Chet and that is his horse Shorty. Chet was born and raised in the cowboy way of life. While later in life he did many things, that early part of his life had a defining influence on him. Perhaps it was breaking horses and working on cattle drives on what was part of the Old Chisholm Trail. Or maybe it was just the responsibility of working on the family cattle ranch. But no matter what Chet did he had a bit of that cowboy way about him. If things in life got a bit wild Chet would just ride it out and end up all the better for it. What he started he would see through. I am truly grateful for the influence Chet had on my life. Chet was my grandfather. I’ll never forget his cowboy ways. This is the first time the Blue Angels have been to Redding since 2000. They are in their usual exhilarating form. There is shade under the larger Air Force transport, but it would be wise to bring a folding chair and shade of some sort. With temperatures hovering around 110 today plenty of fluids are the order of the day. Cottonwood Homes For Sale
